Two San Diego Sig Alumni to be honored with Significant Sig Award |

On the evening of Thursday, July 24, 2007 the San Diego Sigma Chi Alumni Chapter will proudly host our 2008 Significant Sig Award Banquet at the Mission Valley Marriott to honor two very distinguished San Diego alumni, Ed Blessing (Delta Xi, San Diego State 60) and Andreas Brown (Delta Xi, San Diego State 55). Sigma Chi alumni from multiple generations, and different alma maters will enjoy fine food and drinks and an entertaining awards presentation.
The San Diego Sigma Chi Alumni Chapter is honored to add these two brothers to the list of Significant Sigs who are part of our alumni chapter.

Alumni Chapter Welcomes Local Sig Business Leader |
|
For our July lunch event, the San Diego Sigma Chi Alumni Chapter is proud to welcome local Sigma Chi alumni Bob Watkins.
Bob Watkins, President & Chairman, established R.J. Watkins & Company, Ltd. in 1980 with offices in San Diego, San Francisco and London. His experience includes President & CEO of a $200 million entertainment company and Managing Director for the San Diego office of the international consulting firm of Russell Reynolds Associates. He has held executive positions with American Hospital Supply Corporation, serving on the corporation's acquisition and divestiture team. He also served as Management Consultant for the national accounting firm Deloitte & Touche.
Bob is currently serving his third term as the President of San Diego County Board of Education. He is on the Board and on the executive committee of the San Diego Regional Economic Development Corporation (EDC) and the San Diego Regional Airport Authority. Bob is active on the Board for Urigen, Regenesis Biomedical, and Meals on Wheels. He is a founding member and Trustee of the San Diego National Sports Foundation, the organizer and builder of the U.S. Olympic Training Center in San Diego. Bob has served as Chairman of the Lincoln Club of San Diego. He was on the Board of Directors for San Diego International Sports Council and the YMCA of San Diego County; was Chairman of the Board of the San Diego County American Red Cross; and was the President of the San Diego Natural History Museum’s Board of Trustees. He is also a founding member and three-term President of United States Rugby. He is a partner in Tollbridge Ventures LLC; Aztec Venture Network, LLC, a seed capital venture fund. Bob is a graduate of San Diego State University.
ALL Sigma Chi alumni are welcome no matter if you went to school on the east coast, west coast, in the Midwest or the South. If you've paid your local alumni dues, lunch is $15.00. If you haven't paid your local alumni dues, lunch is $20.00. (Dues are $30 and payable at anytime.) All monies will be collected at the door.
