Undergraduate Chapter to Auction Flown Flag for Charity |
American Flag flown by Sigma Chi Marine in Iraq auctioned off to raise money for Disabled American Veterans
This American flag is being auctioned off by the Sigma Chi Theta colony of Sigma Chi from Gettysburg College. The flag was flown in Iraq by Major Marty Kazanjian (Theta '97), a member of the 252nd Mobile Refueling Group. It comes with a certificate certifying that it was in fact flown in Iraq for the Sigma Chi colony, and there may still be some Iraqi dust left in the fabric. Proceeds from this auction will benefit Disabled American Veterans (DAV). Over three-quarters of the money that DAV takes in goes directly to program services which benefit our veterans. Their website is dav.org. Please consider putting in a bid on this auction in order to support this great cause and to receive a flag that would be wonderful for Memorial Day. Payment can be in the form of cash or check, made out either to Disabled American Veterans or to Sigma Chi Theta (details can be worked out upon the auction's termination). The brothers of Sigma Chi Theta thank you.
